Professor Stalla's scientific profile
The main research interests of Professor Stalla are related to the pathomechanisms of hypo- and hyperpituitarisms. In vitro, ex vivo and animal studies are performed to elucidate the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury-induced pituitary insufficiency as well as the underlying mechanisms of pituitary tumorigenesis and pituitary adenoma associated excessive hormone secretion. Insights into the pathomechanisms at cellular and molecular level will provide a basis for the development of novel treatment concepts for these disorders.
